Good field work starts with the right question, applicable jurisdiction and clear acceptance criteria. This Resources page brings together the official agencies, professional bodies and technical organizations most relevant to Ven-Tech’s work.

The links support early planning; they do not replace project-specific engineering, legal advice, regulatory review, permits, owner standards or competent professional judgment. Standards and regulations change, and many standards are copyrighted documents available through the issuing organization.

FROM REFERENCE TO FIELD PLAN

A standard is not
a complete scope.

Technical Resources become valuable when their requirements are translated into a project-specific method, field controls and deliverables.

  • 01 Identify the governing jurisdiction and owner requirements
  • 02 Define the decision, feature size and required confidence
  • 03 Select competent people, platforms and sensors
  • 04 Document quality checks, limitations and acceptance

Resources FAQ

Use the library
with confidence.

These answers explain how to use the Resources page and when Ven-Tech can help turn a reference into a practical project plan.

What is included on the Ven-Tech Resources page?

The Resources page organizes authoritative safety, regulation, commercial diving, UAS, hydrographic survey, infrastructure, construction and mining links. It also connects visitors to Ven-Tech HSE, ATHENA™, technical reports, service pages and project-assessment support.

Are third-party standards and regulations reproduced by Ven-Tech?

No. Ven-Tech links directly to the responsible regulator, standards organization or professional body. Copyrighted standards may require purchase or membership. Always use the current official edition and confirm the contract, jurisdiction and owner requirements that apply to the project.

Which commercial-diving resources should a client review first?

In British Columbia, begin with WorkSafeBC Part 24 and its supporting guidance. The Diver Certification Board of Canada and Canadian Association of Diving Contractors provide additional information about competency and industry practice. Other provinces, territories and federal projects may have different requirements.

Where can Canadian drone rules be checked?

Transport Canada publishes the applicable drone-safety and certification information. NAV CANADA provides NAV Drone for airspace awareness and controlled-airspace authorization. The actual operation also requires a site survey, operating-category review and any additional landowner or site permissions.

Which resources support hydrographic survey planning?

The Canadian Hydrographic Service publishes Canadian standards and survey-management guidance. The International Hydrographic Organization publishes international specifications and standards. The project scope should state the applicable order, uncertainty, coverage, control, datum, deliverables and acceptance criteria.

Can Ven-Tech help translate a standard into a project scope?

Yes. Send the asset, location, purpose, drawings, known hazards, applicable client specifications, required decision and deliverable formats. Ven-Tech can help identify the field method, controls, data-quality plan and specialist interfaces needed for a practical scope.

START WITH THE ASSET AND DECISION

Need help turning requirements
into a field-ready scope?

Send the asset, location, drawings, known hazards, applicable standards, access constraints, schedule and required deliverables. Ven-Tech will help identify the practical inspection, access, survey and reporting approach.
