At Ven-Tech Subsea, we specialize in CSA-compliant robotic reservoir inspection and cleaning solutions designed to safeguard public health while maximizing operational efficiency. Our potable-grade ROV systems are engineered for non-invasive entry into active water storage tanks, eliminating the need for costly draining or service interruption. These advanced systems are deployed by highly trained operators and overseen by an experienced management team with academic and field backgrounds in water quality, microbiology, and environmental science.
Backed by over a decade of experience, we maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), hazard risk registers, and decontamination protocols aligned with AWWA C652-19 and provincial health standards. Real-time chlorine residual and turbidity monitoring are available during operations to ensure full regulatory compliance and water quality assurance throughout the cleaning and inspection process.
We proudly serve municipal utilities, industrial operators, and private water system owners across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Our fleet includes potable-certified ROVs, vacuum utility crawlers, multibeam sonar units, and high-definition camera systems—enabling detailed sediment removal, weld and coating inspections, leak detection, and condition assessments from floor to roof.
Whether responding to emergency contamination events or conducting routine asset management, Ven-Tech Subsea delivers safe, efficient, and highly professional robotic inspection services trusted by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), FNHA, Fraser Health, and municipalities across Western Canada.

Ven-Tech Subsea specializes in developing multi-year subsurface maintenance programs or IMR (Inspection, Repair, Maintenance) Programs for you subsea assets. ROBOTIC RESERVOIR SERVICES
The VAC is a three wheeled crawler with rubber wheels to help with traction in concrete, steel, lined, glass fused to steel and other tank types. The vacuum head is mounted in front of the vehicle on a dual actuating arm, one actuator tilts the head 20 degrees and the other raises and lowers the head 20 degrees. The head concentrates the suction at the floor of the tank to focus the pumping of water on sediment filled water. The head has two intakes, 2″ in diameter (50mm), where you connect a flexible hose. The hose connects to a pump outside of the tank. There is a camera on the main body of the crawler that monitors the vacuum head as it removes debris. ROBOTIC RESERVOIR SERVICES
Cygnus’s industry-leading ultrasonic thickness gauge can be integrated onto your magnetic crawler, allowing you to evaluate the thickness of steel on tanks, hulls or other metal surfaces without needing dive intervention or draining the asset.
This ultrasonic thickness (UT) probe presses on the surface, taking an accurate measurement even through marine growth or coatings. The data is then displayed and recorded via Cygnus software on a laptop. The probe is able to take readings through up to 1/2″ or 12mm of soft marine growth or coatings to take a reading of the steel. This is a great tool for corrosion surveys for UWILDs on FPSOs or Vessels, as well as for steel tanks and pipes and other surfaces.
This is a safer and more cost effective alternative to using divers to clean a structure or bringing the structure or vessel out of the water for cleaning. The Caviblaster is mounted on an actuator on our robotics, which is able to rotate 90 degrees, allowing you to get the optimal angle on the surface that you are cleaning. The caviblaster uses vaporization, bubble generation and bubble implosion, which generates shockwaves that release tremendous amounts of energy to allow for easy separation from the surfaces being cleaned. ROBOTIC RESERVOIR SERVICES
The dozer kit connects to the DT640 arch, which enables it to be rotated 20 degrees as well as raised and lowered 20-degrees to get the optimal angle on your target. ROBOTIC RESERVOIR SERVICES
At Ven-Tech Subsea, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier subsea inspection and exploration solutions. Our advanced ROV systems are equipped with state-of-the-art Multibeam Imaging Sonar technology from Blueprint Subsea, ensuring unparalleled underwater imaging and data collection capabilities.
Why Choose Multibeam Imaging Sonar? Multibeam Imaging Sonar offers a comprehensive and detailed view of underwater environments, providing high-resolution images and accurate measurements. This technology is essential for a variety of applications including: Marine Research Underwater Construction Pipeline Inspections Wreck and Obstacle Detection Environmental Monitoring.
4K Video Inspections, 3D Surveys, CP, UT and other Tooling
Marine Salvage, Recovery Operations, Search and Rescue
Cable laying, offshore oil and gas, pipelines, Outfalls & Intakes
IMR (Inspection, Maintenance and Repair)
Cameras and divers’ eyes often are unable to effectively search due to poor visibility underwater. An imaging sonar is the best tool to then reidentify the target since oftentimes side scan data does not produce an exact location (so navigating back to the potential target can be difficult. Once the target is reidentified, the sonar can be used to continue to track the target as you move closer, and when you get close enough, it can even be used to perform the visual verification.
Our Oculus M-series multibeam sonars are a new generation of imaging sonar, designed for use across a wide variety of underwater applications.
Their small form factor makes them ideally suited for deployment onto micro sized ROV platforms, while their rugged construction also makes them an excellent choice for larger work-class vehicles and subsea infrastructure.
Our Multibeam Imaging Sonar systems are utilized in numerous industries, providing invaluable insights and supporting critical operations. Key applications include:
Our ROV services are available to both the Inshore and Offshore sectors alike. We perform tasks for clients with a very broad range of assets including; marinas, municipalities, oil and gas sector, wharfs, docks, potable water systems, seawater desalination plants, jetties, pontoons, bridges, walls and dams, pipelines, water tanks, mines, hulls of ships, underwater structures and eco marine environments.
