The client hired Inland Divers Underwater Service (Ven-Tech Subsea) to clean and remove debris from several pump wells at their facility as well as to undertake an underwater dive inspection. The goal of the underwater inspection was to evaluate the pump wells’ condition and establish the need for cleaning. Inland Divers Underwater Service
Ven-Tech Subsea supplied a four-man commercially licenced dive crew with supervision for the underwater examination in line with all pertinent provincial and federal legislation and criteria. The surface supply diving helmet systems (KM 37SS and KM77SS) and underwater helmet-mounted colour video camera and light system were provided for the dive team (for real-time monitoring). Additionally, the inspection divers had extra equipment for clearing and removing detritus.
The two surface supply diving systems, high pressure/low pressure redundant diver air supply, support equipment/tooling, and first aid emergency response equipment were all housed on a 18-foot dive support vehicle where the diving personnel were staged. The support truck was positioned as close to the entry point as feasible to enable for quick diver extraction if necessary. The diving supervisor oversaw and kept an eye on the inspection and cleaning process in real-time during dive operations. Inland Divers Underwater Service

In order to guarantee thorough coverage, the customer representative was also able to interact with the inspection diver. After the project was finished, Ven-Tech Subsea gave the client a high-definition video of the inspection.
